Established by Zvi Yemini, and acquired by Stanley in 1999, today ZAG is a world leader in its field and the largest manufacturer of plastic toolboxes, distributed globally through the marketing network and web sites of its tool and hardware parent company, Stanley Black & Decker, as well as through its own subsidiaries.

ZAG’s customers include home-improvement chains and mass-merchandise stores.

ZAG’s products range includes toolboxes, workbenches, portable storage kits, and tool bags. 

 

Challenge

Design and Shoot's challenge was to help ZAG streamline its sales process by improving ease of use to accelerate product acquisition, thus increasing revenues.

Why would a retailer or end user prefer to buy a ZAG product?

 

Solution

Design&Shoot Operating as brand manager, Design&Shoot became part of the product innovation team. Design&Shoot’s responsibilities included: Integrating the brand into the product, and packaging and merchandising. Design&Shoot produced the planogram and created extraordinary visibility in the DIY environment, which at that point did not support shelf solutions.

We resolved to use the packaging as a platform to explain the product and its advantages over its competitors. Below the line advertising served as further promotion together with on-line sales.
